Studying the Metazoan Zooplankton Community Characteristics and Evaluating the Water Quality Based on the Ecological and Functional Zones in Gaoyou Lake

To study the metazoan zooplankton community structure and water quality, we investigated amount of quality in Gaoyou Lake from January to December 2022. Furthermore, also evaluated multi-index nutritional status using comprehensive index dominant population composition zooplankton, B/T index, Shannon–Weaver diversity based on situation each ecological functional zone. The results indicated that included 21 families, 31 genera, 63 species. rotifers had 8 16 34 species, accounting for 53.9% all cladocerans 6 7 which accounted 25.4% copepods 13 20.7% density species small (rotifers) a higher proportion than large (crustaceans). average annual was 1595.7 ind./L, biomass 4.31 mg/L, total nitrogen (TN) 1.101 phosphorus (TP) 0.082 mg/L. TN TP were over standard. indices entire lake areas consistent with evaluation results, determined showed mild eutrophication.
